What is a slip ring?

Slip rings, also known as rotary distributors, are electromechanical products that are used to transfer currents, electrical signals or media from a stationary to an endlessly rotating component.

Slip rings are used wherever a rotary movement greater than 360° is required. A slip ring usually consists of a slip ring body and a current collector - usually as a hybrid solution. Slip rings are used in construction machinery, marine propulsion systems, wind turbines and industrial automation, among others. They are rarely visible, but nothing turns without them.

Another step towards greater sustainability: E-charging points

Ten new charging columns for electric and hybrid vehicles for corporate and private use became operational at Moog Rekofa Antweiler in May 2023.

More than 30% of the company cars used at Antweiler are already hybrid vehicles, and this number is set to increase significantly in the future. All employees who own an electric or hybrid vehicle or are planning to purchase one will now also be able to charge their private cars at the favorable Moog electricity rate. This offer can be used with a personal chip card and applies exclusively to company employees. Moog Rekofa sees this as a long-term investment in sustainable transport solutions, aimed at reducing CO² emissions and encouraging the switch to e-mobility.
