Construction machinery & cranes

Construction goes Electric

We have been supplying the most important crane and excavator manufacturers worldwide with slip rings and hydraulic components for over four decades. Our technology is installed in a wide range of different construction machines, such as mobile excavators, mobile cranes, crawler cranes, snow groomers and fire department aerial ladders, and is exposed to a wide variety of climatic and environmental conditions.

The finest dust, such as that generated when used in mines, temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C, shocks and vibrations, humidity of up to 95 %, salt water, solar radiation and mechanical impacts on the construction machinery should not be a problem for our product. They are therefore rigorously tested in advance in our test center using a climate chamber or vibration system to ensure absolute robustness and durability. Here, too, we are in close contact with our customers and make specific solutions possible in order to meet future challenges in construction machinery and crane applications.

Moog Rekofa supports renowned customers worldwide with comprehensive expertise in electrification projects on their way to achieving climate targets. The technology of the slip rings used is mature - their use for emission-free high-performance transmission in construction machinery is new and offers many advantages. For example, the compact, modular slip rings can be easily integrated into the existing design of the series construction machine by using customized flanges and connectors.

The high-power slip rings also support a wide range of communication protocols, such as Ethernet and CAN bus, so that reliable data transmission is guaranteed.

With new housing designs that take into account special protection classes of up to IP69K as standard, adaptation to any customer requirements and ensuring the data transmission rates currently required, we believe we are ideally equipped for the future in the construction industry, which is so important to us.
