Rotary distributors are used wherever a rotary movement greater than 360° is required and a drag chain significantly restricts the angle. A slip rings usually consists of a slip ring body and a current collector - usually as a hybrid solution and with additional encapsulation up to IP69K.

The requirements of global customers have prompted us to develop a standard system which, due to its design, is primarily used in construction machinery. Thanks to prefabricated series components and the use of proven slip ring systems in modular design, short delivery times can be realized.

As comparatively uncomplicated and non-encapsulated slip rings are sufficient in some applications, we also have such products in our range. These are usually used for power supply and for transmitting simple data.

We offer our standard systems in plastic housings, but also in stainless steel / aluminum versions.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Slip rings with through bores

Our through-bore slip rings feature our fiber brush technology which offers several advantages over conventional slip ring technology including multiple points of contact force per fiber and low contact wear rates. In addition, fiber brushes do not require lubrication and produce virtually no wear debris. The unobstructed bore through the center provides routing space for hydraulics, pneumatics or for a concentric shaft mount.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Compact Slip Ring Capsules

Our cost-effective, compact family of slip ring capsules offers tremendous flexibility in addressing system size requirements when larger versions aren't an option. Capsules with up to 56 contacts are available. To meet your application needs, a wide range of product solutions is offered with combinations of data and power in multiple mechanical configurations.

Moog's Ethernet slip ring solutions enable reliable transmission of the Ethernet protocol over a rotating interface, addressing the challenges of impedance matching, crosstalk control, and loss management.
