Standards with IP protection

The requirements of global customers have prompted us to develop a standard system which, due to its design, is primarily used in construction machinery. Thanks to prefabricated series components and the use of proven slip ring systems in modular design, short delivery times can be realized.

Applications:

  • Construction machinery
  • Crane applications
  • Recycling
  • and many other applications requiring a robust housing

Technical data:

  • Max. Voltage: up to 1,000 V
  • Max. Current: up to 200 A
  • Data and bus signals can be combined
  • Service life (rotations): up to 100 million
  • Max. RPM: up to 100 rpm
  • Maintenance/maintenance interval: up to maintenance-free
  • IP protection class up to IP 69 K
  • Housing material: Stainless steel or plastic

    Standards without IP protection

As comparatively uncomplicated and non-encapsulated slip rings are sufficient in some applications, we also have such products in our range. These are usually used for power supply and for transmitting simple data.

    Applications:

    • Construction machinery
    • Packaging systems
    • Showcases
    • and wherever the customer implements IP protection in his application

    Slip rings with through bores

Our through-bore slip rings feature our fiber brush technology which offers several advantages over conventional slip ring technology including multiple points of contact force per fiber and low contact wear rates. In addition, fiber brushes do not require lubrication and produce virtually no wear debris. The unobstructed bore through the center provides routing space for hydraulics, pneumatics or for a concentric shaft mount.

    Slip ring capsules

Our economical, compact slip ring capsule family allows tremendous flexibility in dealing with systems size requirements when larger versions are not an option. Capsules with up to 56 contacts are available.

Moog’s Ethernet slip ring solutions have been developed to provide reliable products to allow transfer of the Ethernet protocol through a rotating interface. The innovative designs meet the challenge of matching impedance, controlling crosstalk and managing losses.

A wide range of product solutions are offered with combinations of data and power in multiple mechanical configurations to meet your application needs.
